LODGING OPTIONS:

There are a number of good lodging options at the Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center… tent camping, RV camping, cabins, and the lodge/hotel. The Retreat Center can accommodate a whole variety of tastes and budgets. To make a reservation for RV or tent camping, contact the camp directly via email at reservations@wcrc.info or call the main office at (866) 566-9272. To secure lodging in either the Cabin Village or the Oakwood Lodge contact Leanne Chamblee, a member of Christ Church in Cary. Leanne will be coordinating regirstations. You may reach her via email at leanne@vision-technologies.com or by calling (919) 306-2190.

Oakwood Lodge is ideal for larger groups with 24 hotel-style rooms. Each room has a private bath, and linens and towls are provided. To promote the retreat experience, the rooms do not have the distraction of televisions or telephones. Twenty rooms have a queen bed and a trundle bed that can sleep up to 4 guests. Two rooms have a queen bed and a kitchenette (sink, under-counter refrigerator and microwave). The 3-night weekend rate is $235 + tax. Two rooms are handicapped accessible and have a queen and a trundle bed.

Cabin Village includes five cabins that sleep 12 guests each. Each has two bathrooms and two showers. The village has a Commons Building with meeting space, dining space, and a kitchen. The 3 night weekend rate is $680 + tax OR $340 + tax per side.

MEALS:

Just like last year, we are working to make the meals very affordable at family camp.  Each family is on their own for breakfast and lunch. People can make easy meals in their rooms, hit a local restaurant in Williamsburg, or enjoy a meal at the camp cafeteria. For dinner, the represented churches will cater in and provide meals for everyone, from Italian to Carolina barbeque and grilled chicken.

ACTIVITIES:

Guests have access to the following activities during their stay: swimming at the camp’s pool, playground, tennis, volleyball, hiking, horseshoe pits, and a variety of softball & football play areas.

As stated on the schedule, we have planned activities for each evening of our 2013 Family Camp:

Thursday, June 20            Fellowship & S’mores at Cabin Village Fire Ring.

Friday, June 21                  Concert & Bonfire at 3-Crosses Campfire Area.

Saturday, June 22            Dance at Edgewood Pavillion.

2013 Family Conference

“No Greater Joy… Keeping our Kids in the Christian Faith”

Will your children have the same joy you have had in serving the Lord Jesus? Too many children of evangelical families leave the faith and lead lives of rebellion toward the very things their parents hoped that they would love. Christ Church of Cary wants to partner with you in helping you to be a better parent and a more godly family by leaning on the promises God makes for His faithful.

You are invited to join us at our annual family conference February 22 through 24th featuring Pastor Joost Nixon from Spokane, Washington.

Register by calling 919-469-5522 or by emailing office@christkirknc.com.

Joost Nixon has been pastor of Christ Church, in Spokane, Washington, since 2000. He holds a D. Min from Covenant Theological Seminary, where he studied faithfulness and apostasy among emerging adults in Reformed churches. He and his wife, Kristen, have eight children, and recently celebrated twenty years together. In his free time, Pastor Nixon has impromptu kung fu battles with his six year old, continues his quest to grow perfect tomatoes, and cooks funky ethnic food.
